Product Overview
HP Pavilion 15 (15t-eg000) is an affordable thin and light laptop powered by 11th-gen Intel Core i7 processor with optional touch screen.
Like other HP Pavilion models, the Pavilion 15 caters to price-sensitive consumers while retaining some of the powerful features found in more upscale models. For example, NVMe M.2 SSD and WiFi 6, which used to be exclusive to high-end models, have trickled down to the Pavilion 15.
For those who wants more power at a lower price point, HP offers the Pavilion 15 powered by AMD, too. There are also 13-inch and 14-inch models in the 2020 HP Pavilion series.
HP also markets a 2-in-1 convertible version of the Pavilion 15, the Pavilion x360 15.

notebookcheck[1]
Reviewer score 47% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Precision clickpad is relatively large at 11.5 x 7.4 cm to be essentially the same as the clickpad on the pricier Envy 15 Creator. NumPad keys are narrower and therefore more cramped for larger fingers. Color coverage is limited to just 64 percent of sRGB to represent an entry-level display.
Pros
- Sleek, attractive design
- High-quality IPS display
- Good battery life
Cons
- Lackluster graphics performance
- No Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3
trustedreviews[2]
Reviewer score 58% (normalized by Neofiliac)The HP Pavilion 15 is powered by an Intel Core i7-8565U Whiskey Lake processor. It is capable of running basic PC tasks such as web browsing and word processing. It can also be used as a gaming laptop, but this is not a must-have. You can get the Dell XPS 13 for not much more money right now.
Pros
- Decent gaming performance
- Decent battery life
- Comfortable keyboard
Cons
- Mediocre display
- No dedicated graphics
