Panasonic HZ1500 OLED
4K TVProduct Gallery
Product Overview
HZ1500 4K OLED TV is a mid-level option in Panasonic's 2020 4K OLED lineup. Compared to the flagship HZ2000, the HZ1500 does away with up-firing speakers and supports only 360°Soundscape; compared to the entry-level HZ980 and HZ1000, the HZ1500 comes with five speakers instead of two.
All 2020 Panasonic OLED TVs feature essentially the same display panel and image processing. New in 2020, Panasonic's OLED smart TVs also support Dolby Vision IQ. Using Dolby Vision dynamic metadata, this feature displays every detail of the content and adjusts to the brightness of the room. It also modifies the TV's settings to ensure optimal image quality.

Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)There just isn't an area of picture-making at which the Panasonic HZ1500 doesn't excel. It generates extremely wide contrasts, with deep, lustrous and epically detailed black tones at one end and clean, bright but not overdriven whites at the other. Even properly antiquated low-resolution stuff (something in 4:3 aspect ratio that ITV4 likes to show in the middle of the day) is reasonably well composed.
Pros
- HDR10+ and Dolby Vision
- Impressive sound
- Dolby Vision IQ
Cons
- No HDR10+ support
- No Dolby Atmos
