Product Overview

Samsung Q900TS QLED 8K TV shares much of the design, build, and feature elements with the flagship Q950TS. It also features the gorgeous Infinity display that is virtually bezel-less, native 8K resolution, and Samsung's Quantum Processor 8K, etc.
The 10-bit panel on these Samsung QLED TVs deliver industry-leading brightness. They also produce 100% color gamut in the DCI-P3 color space.
The main difference between the Q900TS and the Q950TS is the lack of eARC, though the Q900TS is also marginally thicker.
For a more affordable alternative, Samsung also markets the Q800T.

Reviewer score 60% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Samsung Q900TS is great for mixed usage. It's great for movies thanks to its good black uniformity and local dimming. It also performs well in sunny rooms since it gets bright enough to overcome glare. It has no problem upscaling 1080p content like Blu-rays, although it doesn't display 4k content perfectly.

    • Bright enough to overcome glare
    • Excellent reflection handling and high peak brightness
    • Fast response time and FreeSync VRR
    • Outstanding reflection handling
    • Incredibly low input lag
    Cons

    techradar[2]

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Q900TS has a particularly bright screen, and that makes it superb for displaying bright colors. Some shadow detail is lost in darker scenes, and at times you'll find some mild crushing of blacks in dark suit trousers or even beards. There are, as usual, a host of picture settings to choose from – alongside a new option you might not have used before. There's an Intelligent mode, too, which proactively switches between picture (and audio) settings depending on what's being displayed on screen.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous 4K HDR
    • Wide soundstage
    • Dolby Vision
    Cons
    • No front-firing soundbar
    • No Dolby Atmos
