Product Overview

ASUS ROG Swift PG259QN 360Hz features the world's fastest 360Hz refresh rate. Using a full HD fast IPS panel with 1ms gray-to-gray response time and NVIDIA G-SYNC support, the 25-in monitor makes for a smoother gaming visual than ever.
The PG259QN is HDR10 compatible for color and brightness that exceed that of ordinary monitors.
Its professional gaming design keep distractions to a minimum. A special non-reflective bottom bezel helps reduce onscreen reflections. A space-saving V-shaped stand allows gamers to move their keyboard and mouse closer to the monitor and free up more space for their gaming setup. The ROG Swift PG259QN also features a custom heatsink which offers more surface area for heat exchange compared to those found in other displays.
The PG259QN also has a variant, the ROG Swift PG259QNR, which comes with a desktop mount kit and NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
Asus' ROG Swift 360Hz PG259QNR is an extremely fast gaming monitor that puts the entire view in a relatively small panel. With 360Hz and 1ms response times, its built to ensure you see and shoot the enemy before he sees you, which can help give you the edge in competitive online gaming. But priced at $699 for the variant without the C-clamp and Reflex Analyzer, the PG 259QNR isn't affordable.
Pros
  • 360Hz and 1ms response times
  • Excellent gaming performance
  • Competitively priced
Cons
  • No G-Sync support

Pros
  • Faster refresh rate than any 240Hz monitor we've tested
  • Faster than most 240Hz monitors
  • Strong DCI-P3 performance
Cons
  • No HDMI port

rtings[3]

Reviewer score 60% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
ASUS ROG Swift PG259QN is excellent for gaming due to its exceptional motion handling, low input lag, and VRR support. It can't deliver a good HDR experience, as it lacks local dimming, a wide color gamut, and doesn't get bright enough to make highlights stand out. The screen might be too small for some, especially for multitasking, and the pixel density is a bit low, so text doesn't look as sharp.
Pros
  • Out-of-the-box accuracy
  • Wide viewing angles
  • Incredibly low input lag
  • Good ergonomics
  • Excellent response time
Cons
  • Low contrast ratio
  • Doesn't get bright enough to make highlights pop in HDR content
  • No local dimming

techadvisor[4]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techadvisor have found:
The Asus ROG Swift PG259QNR is the fastest gaming monitor in the world right now. It has a spectacular 360Hz refresh rate and a superb response time. The underlying IPS panel is solid, with a peak brightness of 413 nits. Viewing angles and uniformity are both excellent and the average Delta E of 0.64 is top-notch. It's only those high-end players who will get the most from this display.
Pros
  • Superb image quality
  • G-Sync support
  • Great gaming performance
Cons
  • No native dimming
  • No HDR10 support

tomshardware[5]

Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The PG259QN includes a dynamically dimmable backlight for both SDR and HDR modes. In SDR mode, it increases contrast to around 3,000:1, which makes a visible difference. HDR locks out most image controls, but you can still adjust contrast and color temp.
Pros
  • Bright, sharp picture
  • Variable backlight
  • Good contrast
Cons
  • No HDR mode
  • No DCI-P3 support

trustedreviews[6]

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Asus PG259QNR has a 24.5in diagonal and 1080p resolution. It uses an IPS display with 10-bit colour, and the panel has a matte coating. Build quality is tremendous, with barely any wobbling in the stand and no significant movement in the plastic around the rear. It rendered 99.3% of the sRGB colour gamut, so it will produce every colour required for mainstream and competitive gaming.
Pros
  • Impressive build quality
  • Good contrast ratio
  • Good colour accuracy
Cons
  • No speakers
  • No HDR support
