laptopmag[1]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)JBL includes a detachable unidirectional microphone with the JBL Quantum One. You can activate the sidetone feature, which lets you hear yourself via the microphone. For gaming, I personally prefer JBL's surround sound, but for everything else, I stick with stereo. The Quantum One is a contender for the king of gaming headsets.
Pros
- Powerful active-noise cancelling
- Attractive design
- Comfortable ear cups
Cons
- Noise cancellation isn’t the best
pcmag[2]
Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Quantum One is an ambitious gaming headset that tries to do everything. It has a strong microphone, but not quite as good as the Razer Kraken Ultimate. The headset has active noise cancellation, but it doesn't do much to block out noise from the mic. The head tracking mode sounds a bit awkward.
Pros
- Strong audio performance
- Active noise cancellation
- Comfortable fit
- Good microphone
Cons
- Noise cancellation is modest at best
- No wireless charging
rtings[3]
Reviewer score 17% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Quantum ONE are decent for wired gaming. They offer well-reproduced bass, mids, and treble, so your entire listening experience will be well-balanced. Their ANC system isn’t bad at blocking out ambient speech, but it struggles with low-frequency sounds like bus engines. They also lack dedicated call and music controls, making it difficult to answer your phone or change songs on the go.
Pros
- Very well-balanced sound profile
- Comfortable and well-built design
- Great battery life
Cons
- Disappointing noise isolation performance
- No dedicated call and music controls
- Bulky design

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Quantum One gaming headset is a well-built, well-made pair of headphones. Audio quality is top-notch, even as the volume ramps up, the tiniest sonic details are retained. You get a whole host of features to play around with (particularly on Windows), and you can use the headphones with just about every device from your Xbox to your smartphone.
Pros
- Comfortable fit
- Excellent sound quality
- Comfortable and comfortable
Cons
- Noise cancelling isn’t perfect
techradar[5]
Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Quantum One provides studio-level sound at an affordable price. Interchangeable between the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It's not quite perfect, but if you want wireless audio on every console you own and spatial audio on PC, the Quantum One is a great option.
Pros
- Powerful surround sound
- Easy-to-use mixer
- Comfortable fit
Cons
- Some technical issues
tomsguide[6]
Reviewer score 54% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Quantum One promises a tremendous variety of features, all of which theoretically help justify its $300 price tag. With the QuantumENGINE software, you can set equalization options, customize RGB lighting, tweak mic levels and activate spatial sound. In practice, it's not nearly as noticeable as the 3D sound in the HyperX Cloud Orbit S headset.
Pros
- Attractive design
- Great spatial sound
- Comfortable fit
Cons
- Requires a lot of maintenance
- No surround sound
tomshardware[7]
Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)The JBL Quantum One is a bold step into gaming headsets for the reputable brand. It makes some questionable design choices and can feel tight on large heads. But the ear cushions have a desirable leather material, and the RGB implementation is daring and unique. If you buy the Quantum One, do it for the sturdy build and general audio performance.
Pros
- Sleek, premium design
- Comfortable ear cushions
- Lovable TalkThru feature
Cons
- No 3.5mm connection
