Product Overview

Quantum ONE is the flagship gaming headset in JBL's new Quantum gaming headset range. The Quantum ONE can be powered via USB or 3.5mm audio cable.
Compared to lower-end models, the Quantum ONE uniquely features surround sound with Head Tracking in the form of QuantumSPHERE 360. Using integrated head-tracking sensor and by-pack mic, the JBL Quantum ONE gives gamers superior ability to position the sound. The headset is also equipped with DTS Headphone X: v2.0.
Other models in JBL's Quantum series include the basic Quantum 100, Quantum 200 that adds a PC splitter, Quantum 300, which comes with a USB adapter, Quantum 400, which internalizes the USB adapter for surround sound support and adds RGB lighting, Quantum 600, which supports 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, and Quantum 800, which further supports Bluetooth 5.0 and adds active noise cancellation.
There is also an in-ear headset in the Quantum range, the Quantum 50.

JBL includes a detachable unidirectional microphone with the JBL Quantum One. You can activate the sidetone feature, which lets you hear yourself via the microphone. For gaming, I personally prefer JBL's surround sound, but for everything else, I stick with stereo. The Quantum One is a contender for the king of gaming headsets.

The headset has active noise cancellation, but it doesn't do much to block out noise from the mic. The head tracking mode sounds a bit awkward.

Their ANC system isn’t bad at blocking out ambient speech, but it struggles with low-frequency sounds like bus engines. They also lack dedicated call and music controls, making it difficult to answer your phone or change songs on the go.

With the QuantumENGINE software, you can set equalization options, customize RGB lighting, tweak mic levels and activate spatial sound. In practice, it's not nearly as noticeable as the 3D sound in the HyperX Cloud Orbit S headset.
