Product Overview

The 6th-gen Ford Bronco marks the return of the company's legendary SUV after a 25-year hiatus. Coming in both a two-door and a first-ever four-door versions, the 6th-gen Bronco is the first in Ford's new Bronco brand that focuses on off-road capable SUVs.
The new Bronco features turbocharged petrol EcoBoost engines coupled to either a 7-speed manual with crawler gear or a 10-speed automatic. It excels with the best-in-class 94.75:1 crawl ratio, ground clearance, suspension travel, water fording capabilities, and breakover and departure angles.
Two 4x4 systems are offered on all Bronco models: The base system utilizes a two-speed electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case, while the optional advanced system features a two-speed electromechanical transfer case that adds an auto mode for on-demand engagement to select between 2H and 4H. Power is distributed to a Dana 44 AdvanTEK solid rear axle and Dana AdvanTEK independent front differential unit; both come with Spicer Performa-TraK electronic locking differentials.
Both Bronco two- and four-door models come with open-air experience. The two-door model features a standard three-section roof system, while the four-door model has four removable roof sections. Roof panels on all models can be removed by one person; they store onboard on the two-door model. A cloth soft top, standard on four-door models, provides easy access to the open air and a unique tilt-up function for quick access to the rear cargo area. Every Bronco comes with class-exclusive frameless doors that make them easy to remove.
Ford engineered the 6th-gen Bronco with not only maximum off-road capabilities but also a host of advanced technologies. A segment-exclusive 12-inch SYNC 4 system with over-the-air updates offers seamless integration to the FordPass Performance app with off-road navigation: This is a Bronco class-exclusive feature that allows owners to easily plan, navigate and share their off-road adventures.
The SYNC system also displays the available 360-degree camera system with class-exclusive off-road spotter views to provide additional visibility in technical pursuits such as rock crawling.
Bronco’s advanced topographic trail maps and more than 1,000 curated trail maps are powered by class-exclusive trail content from NeoTreks’ AccuTerra Maps, Trails Offroad trail guides and FunTreks trail guides.

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The interior is very similar to the Defender. The upright dash features grab handles to help you haul yourself up into the front seats and runs the full width of the cabin. The word Bronco is stamped into the dashboard in front of the passenger just as Defender is in the Land Rover. The back features a side-hinged tailgate that usefully opens beyond 90 degrees, plus slim, vertical LED lights.
Pros
  • Superb off-road performance
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons
  • Not the most fun to drive

cnet[2]

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The 2021 Ford Bronco's interior is great, striking the right balance between utilitarian and posh. The interior's overall feel stops somewhere short of the premium vibe found in the new Land Rover Defender. Whether you want a two- or a four-door Bronco, there's a meaningful cargo space edge over the Jeep.
Pros
  • Stylish, modern styling
  • Fantastic infotainment system
  • Decent cargo space
Cons
  • Poor quality-of-life
  • Lack of advanced safety features
