Product Overview

Porsche Cayenne Mk3 (Typ 9Y0) is a mid-size crossover in production from 2017. It is available with a range of V6 and V8 engines that displaced 2.9 to 4.0 liters.
The plug-in hybrid drivetrain can help the owner save on fuel and car tax, though those who plan on keeping the car after warranty should be mindful of the complexity.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, will appreciate the approach, departure, and breakover angles that the chassis offers. The official fuel economy ratings of the hybrids are exceptionally rosy, though they may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Porsche Cayenne III comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The Turbo GT is an agreeable daily driver if you can stomach 20mpg and 319g/km. The 4.0-litre engine is up by 89bhp and 52lb ft over the regular Cayenne turbo. It gets active roll control, torque vectoring by braking, ceramic brake discs and rear-wheel steer all as standard, as well as three-chamber air springs.
Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Lots of refinement
Cons
  • No twin-clutch

Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid has same 4.0-litre V8 engine as Lamborghini Urus. Electric motor develops 134bhp and is fed by a 14.1kWh battery. Porsche claims the car is good for almost 25 miles on electric power only. Top speed in E-Power electric mode, which is the default drive mode, is 84mph.
Pros
  • Powerful powertrain
  • Punchy acceleration
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Pricier than rivals

Reviewers from cnet have found:
The new 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 is a sweetheart. It's punchy off the line with 332 pound-feet of torque available from 1,340 to 5,300 rpm. Porsche says this base drivetrain gets the 4,377-pound Cayenne to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds.
Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged V6
  • Powerful all-wheel drive
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Base price is a little high

digitaltrends[4]

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid was designed to be a practical SUV and an efficient plug-in hybrid, while retaining the soul of a sports car. Active suspension is standard, while Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control is available as an option to tame body control. We achieved 21.9 mpg over a day of driving, according to the car's trip computer.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Stylish interior
Cons
  • No DC fast-charging
