    digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
LG's 8K TVs far exceed the standards for contrast modulation. There are over 33 million tiny pixels, yes, but it's the work those pixels do that's meaningful. In our A/B comparisons between 4K and native 8K versions of the same content the visible differences were minimal.
    Pros
    • Incredible 8K resolution
    • Impressive contrast modulation
    • Excellent upscaling
    Cons
    • No wall mount
    • No HDMI 2.1

    pcmag[2]

Reviewer score 92% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from pcmag have found:
With an upconverted 8K picture, the 88-inch Z9 looks crisp even when viewed from just eight feet away. Fine details like the fur on a butterfly and the scratches on a leaf are clear and vivid. In Cinema mode, the Z9 shows an input lag of 140 milliseconds, far too high to comfortably play video games.
    Pros
    • Superlative picture with incredible color accuracy
    • 8K upconversion
    • Impressive HDR10 and Dolby Vision
    Cons
    • No 8K content
    • No HDR10 support

    techradar[3]

Reviewer score 95% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Z9 has a 4.2-channel audio system that takes full advantage of the larger screen size and built-in stand. There's more room at the bottom of the panel for four fairly big downward-firing speakers, and a very effective channel that fires the sound directly at the listener. You'll also find a pair of subs in the base of the stand, giving the low end added kick. AI Sound mode applies machine learning and psychoacoustic wizardry to up-mix 2.1 to virtual 5.1 surround sound.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous 8K/HDR images
    • Excellent smart platform
    • Dolby Atmos and HDR10+
    Cons
    • No native 8K
    • No HDMI 2.1
