Sentiment Score 74%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Toyota Supra blends balance, agility, grip and poise with a punchy six-cylinder motor that delivers a hit of performance and (mostly) the stirring engine note we were after. The BMW M2 Competition is a rawer, more raucous rival and the Porsche 718 Cayman offers sweeter handling, but the Supra is a great car in its own right.

Pros
  • Powerful six-cylinder engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • M2 Competition is more fun to drive

autoexpress[2]

Sentiment Score 69%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Toyota Supra is a brilliant sports car with an agile rear-wheel drive chassis, bold looks and quality damping. We just wish it had a more exciting engine and a dash more individuality. The six-cylinder engine is really smooth, if a little lacking in character. With 335bhp and 500Nm of torque, it's good for 0-62mph in just 4.3 seconds.

Pros
  • Powerful six-cylinder engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Not as agile as rivals
  • M2 Competition is more fun to drive

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The 2.0-litre GR Supra has clear benefits, chiefly its price, but it also feels more nimble thanks to its weight loss. Of course, it isn't as quick, doesn't sound as good nor has the level of refinement you get from the six-cylinder. Toyota GB hopes it will help reignite Supra sales, too – only 271 cars were sold here last year.

Pros
  • Bigger engine
  • Great handling
Cons
  • Not as quick as the 3.0
  • No wireless charging

Reviewers from carmagazine have found the following***:
, Normal and Sport, altering the pre-sets for the power steering, transmission, active diff, stability control and the standard-fit adaptive dampers. In Normal mode, the ride quality is impressively smooth, with the exception of a little occasional see-saw choppiness that's common to many short-wheelbase cars. Even the firmer Sport mode is entirely acceptable on the majority of roads. The boot can just about accommodate three big bags, making a getaway for two feasible.

Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Good handling
Cons
  • No manual gearbox
  • Lack of space in the cabin

Sentiment Score 82%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The new 2020 Toyota Supra has a 3.0-liter, turbocharged I6 engine. The automatic gearbox is great, but I still can't help but wonder how much more involving the Supra experience would be with a stick-shift setup. The Supra's perfect 50:50 weight distribution and a low center of gravity help give it sharp handling.

Pros
  • Fun to drive
  • Excellent infotainment
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Lacks Android Auto
  • No adaptive cruise control

cnet[6]

Sentiment Score 59%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
This car's handsome proportions, nose-to-the-ground front end and perky backside make it look like nothing else on the road. Despite the curvaceous metalwork, this machine isn't particularly wide, or large in any dimension. Blind-spot monitoring and other useful features, such as rear cross-traffic alert, aren't standard.

Pros
  • Giddy-up powertrain
  • Gorgeous styling
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Lackluster infotainment
  • No Android Auto

cnet[7]

Sentiment Score 78%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The 2020 model was rated at 24 miles per gallon city and 31 mpg highway, and the 2021 now earns ratings of 22 and 30. The interior feels appropriate for the price, with plenty of soft touch points and the right amount of physical switchgear. Relying on BMW's infotainment tech isn't a bad thing at all.

Pros
  • Gorgeous styling
  • Comfortable ride
  • Excellent infotainment tech
Cons
  • Lane-keep assist is too aggressive
  • No Android Auto

digitaltrends[8]

BMW's twin-turbocharged “B58B30” inline-six found in the BMW M340i and Z4 M40i. It's in a different state of tune, churning out 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. Mated to the same ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic, 60mph happens in just 4.1 seconds.

Pros
  • Superb handling
  • Superb infotainment
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Lacks a turbocharged inline-six

digitaltrends[9]

Sentiment Score 75%
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
The 2020 Toyota Supra was worth the wait. It's a well-executed sports car that balances driving thrills with everyday usability and refinement. From the infotainment system to the engine, the BMW bits are what make this car so good. The Supra's $50,920 base price undercuts the Porsche Cayman and Chevy Corvette.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • No manual transmission
  • Lack of tech
