Product Overview

Audi S6 is the high performance variant of the A6. In the fifth generation, the S6 comes in both sedan and wagon (Avant) forms. Unlike its predecessor, which had a V8 bi-turbo powerplant, the new S6s have downsized engines. In Europe, it is powered by a 3.0L TDI V6, while outside Europe a 2.9L bi-turbo V6 takes its place.

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The heart of the S6 is a north-south nose-mounted 3.0-litre V6 equipped with a 48V electrically driven compressor. When the car is coasting or on the overrun, it collects power in a 0.48kWh battery for later use in acceleration. The official WLTP combined fuel consumption figure is 36.2mpg and the CO2 output is 164g/km.
Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Impressive fuel economy
Cons
  • Heavy for its class
  • Lacklustre handling

cnet[2]

Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
Audi is killing it with interior design, and the fine leather, open-pore wood and aluminum trim all work together to create a cabin that's both modern and ultra-premium. There's a ton of tech on offer, too, as evidenced by not one, not two, but three different screens. The base S6 Premium Plus can be had with a $2,250 Driver Assistance package.
Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Comfortable ride
  • Lots of tech
Cons
  • Lack of standard S6 tech
