autocar[1]

Sentiment Score 76%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The revised SPCCI engine is a generally well-mannered four-cylinder. The slick, light, precise shift quality of the car’s six-speed manual gearbox is a particular highlight. Medium-firm suspension gives the 3 a slightly terse and clipped-feeling ride over an uneven country road.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Decent handling
Cons
  • Lack of standard-fit sunroof

Sentiment Score 78%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Mazda Connect infotainment system is a bit of a drag. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard so you aren't forced into using the native system. G-Vectoring Control Plus is standard on all Mazda3 hatchbacks. The hatchback looks great but it isn't as spacious as a Honda Civic.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Powerful turbocharged engine
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Expensive for a hatchback
  • Lacks all-wheel drive

Sentiment Score 85%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The 2021 Mazda3 Turbo looks absolutely bitchin' in my tester's five-door form. Like every other Mazda3, it has a body generally devoid of eye-searing sharp angles. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot come packed into an 8.8-inch screen.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • No manual transmission
  • Slightly stiffer front dampers

cnet[4]

Sentiment Score 68%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The 2021 Mazda3 Turbo sedan has a combined rating of 27 miles per gallon. The turbo engine makes 250 hp and 320 lb-ft if you run it on premium fuel. The front seats are comfortable, though they could use a bit more bolstering. Cargo space is on the small side, sadly, with just 13.2 cubic feet.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Lots of fun to drive
  • Excellent infotainment
Cons
  • No all-wheel drive
  • Subpar fuel economy
