laptopmag[1]
Reviewer score 64% (normalized by Neofiliac)H processor (6,261) The Legion 7i took 9 minutes and 9 seconds to convert a 4K video to 1080p resolution. The 2TB SSD duplicated 25GB of multimedia files in 20 seconds, which translates to a transfer rate of 1,342.4 megabytes per second. The laptop's 720p webcam isn't as bad as I expected it to be.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
- Long battery life
Cons
- Below-average performance
- Mediocre speakers
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)The gaming performance of the Lenovo Legion 7 is considerable. Even current games run in the highest settings and at high frame rates most of the time. In battery mode, the graphics performance is slightly limited. The stereo speakers integrated above the keyboard are nothing special, and the sound is only able to convince in the high frequency range at most.
Pros
- Bright 240-Hz display
- High-contrast display
- Very good battery life
- Good maintenance options
Cons
- Very loud under load
- No Thunderbolt 3
pcmag[3]
Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Legion 7i is the best of the bunch in raw 3D power, but let's see how that translates to real games. On average, these real game benchmarks tell the same story as the synthetic tests. The design and build aren't the sleekest or most glamorous, so if your main aim is style and portability, others have a leg up.
Pros
- Sleek, premium design
- High-refresh-rate display
- Solid battery life
Cons
- No Thunderbolt 3 port
techradar[4]
Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Lenovo Legion 7i is an absolute beast of a gaming laptop – business in the streets and AAA titles with smooth fps in the sheets if you will. It handled just about every game we threw at it without complaint, delivering great frame rates on most AAA titles even when whacxked up to full graphical settings. The display is also available in either 144Hz or 240Hz options, which won't make a difference to anyone who isn't on the higher ranking end of competitive games. The keyboard is decent – it won't be blowing anyone's mind, but it's responsive and reasonable tactile. This would be a good choice for creatives who don't want to splurge on a workstation of some kind.
Pros
- Fantastic gaming performance
- Good battery life
Cons
- Chunky design
- No mechanical keyboard
