cnet[1]

Reviewer score 90%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The X1 Yoga is essentially the business version of Lenovo's premium Yoga C940. With dual 360-degree hinges and the included active pen, it's great as a laptop. A fingerprint reader comes standard and it stores and processes your print on its own system-on-a-chip.

Pros
  • Sturdy build quality
  • Great keyboard
  • Solid performance
Cons
  • Short battery life
  • Limited privacy options
  • No IR camera

digitaltrends[2]

Reviewer score 84%
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
The X1 Yoga sports a very responsive touch display with the excellent — albeit small — Lenovo active pen that slides into its port to charge. There's an infrared camera up top for facial recognition, which is disabled when you use the ThinkShutter to physically cover the webcam. For those occasions, there's also a fingerprint reader with match-in-sensor technology for extra security.

Pros
  • Excellent build quality
  • Excellent performance
  • Excellent keyboard and touchpad
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • Mediocre performance
  • No Thunderbolt 3

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewer score 79%
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found the following***:
The backlit keyboard is exactly as it appears on the ThinkPad X1 Carbon down to key size and feedback. There are no included extras in the box outside of the usual paperwork and AC adapter. The Precision-enabled clickpad is smaller than the clickpads on both the EliteBook x360 1040 and XPS 13 9300.

Pros
  • Sleek design
  • High-quality OLED panel
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Slightly unsteady CPU clock rates

pcmag[4]

Reviewer score 84%
Reviewers from pcmag have found the following***:
The ThinkPad X1 Yoga is the best high-end convertible laptop Lenovo has invented so far. Its 4K display is certainly worth a close look, but battery life is not as impressive as the Latitude 7400 2-in-1's incredible 20-plus hours. Just know that if you don't plan to stray far from the outlet at home or at work, the ThinkPad is fine-tuned for you.

Pros
  • Slim, light design
  • High-quality 4K display
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Lacks vPro support
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port
