Product Overview

Lenovo Yoga C740-15IML is a mid-range 15.6-inch 2-in-1 convertible laptop. Slotted below the C940, the C740 loses the "Rotating Sound Bar" and discrete graphics while being marginally thicker; nevertheless, it is a versatile device in a compact package.
The C740 features low-powered 10th-gen Intel Core processors that are miserly on the battery, prolonging the battery life to up to 15 hours. Its sleek aluminum casing is available in two colors, with color-matched keyboard and touchpad.
Two FHD IPS touch displays are available, the higher-end of which boasts 500nits of brightness and VESA DisplayHDR 400 support.
Last but least, the C740-15IML features a full suite of privacy features, including a TrueBlock Privacy Shutter for the webcam as well as fingerprint reader.
Alongside the 15.6-inch model, Lenovo also introduced the 14-inch C740 at 2019 IFA.

Reviewers from cnet have found:
The 15.6-inch Lenovo Yoga C740 is an excellent pick for everyday home office or schoolwork. The $1,000 model I tested is worth saving up for if you can. It has twice the storage, more memory (which is soldered on and can't be upgraded later) and a faster processor.
Pros
  • Attractive design
  • Long battery life
  • Good webcam
Cons
  • Smaller screen
  • No webcam

Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The Intel UHD Graphics 620 is the sole graphics chip of the Lenovo Yoga C740-15IML. Unlike its predecessor Lenovo Yoga 730-15IKB, the device does not include a dedicated GPU. While the integrated Intel GPU is able to fully exhaust its capabilities thanks to dual-channel RAM, its potential is still very limited. Users who wish to play demanding games would be better served by a laptop with a dGPU.
Pros
  • Matte IPS display
  • High-quality case
  • Good battery life
  • Good speakers
Cons
  • Mediocre CPU performance
  • No dedicated GPU (dGPU)

3D rendering and video encoding) was also good, though not class-leading. At more than 13 hours of video playback in our test, it didn't last quite as long as the Spectre x360 13's impressive 18 hours. Despite its potentially limited physical flexibility, the Yoga C740 is still an excellent laptop in its own right.
Pros
  • Top-notch build quality
  • Solid performance
  • Excellent webcam privacy filter
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No built-in stylus
  • No Thunderbolt 3

Reviewers from pcworld have found:
Once a laptop pushes into the four-pound range, you should start expecting some performance payoffs. The Lenovo Yoga C740 15's Intel Core i7-10510U and integrated UHD 620 graphics aren't a great combo for either. Gaming performance is an unsurprising weak point. The clear redeeming factor here is battery life.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Slim and light
  • Good battery life
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Mediocre audio quality
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

The Lenovo Yoga C740 has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display. The laptop is compatible with a range of styluses and can be folded flat into a tablet for sketching ideas and taking quick notes. It is powered by Intel’s 10th Gen Core i7 processor, though Lenovo also sells an i5 version. One full charge offers around 15 hours of battery or 11.5 hours with HDR.
Pros
  • Fantastic performance
  • Excellent battery life
  • Great keyboard
Cons
  • Lacklustre display
