Product Overview

Q950TS QLED 8K TV is Samsung's 2020 flagship smart TV. Endowed with an Infinity Screen that is virtually borderless and exceptionally thin, the Q950TS features 8K AI Upscaling with Quantum Processor 8K to deliver an immersive, never-before-seen viewing experience of non-8K contents. Its panel also supports Quantum HDR 4000 powered by HDR10+ with industry-leading brightness and deep blacks.
For optimal listening experience, the Q950TS features Object Tracking Sound+ (OTS+) that intelligently tracks the point source of the sound on the display with the eight (8) built-in speakers on the four sides of the TV.
For a more affordable alternative, Samsung also markets the Q900TS, which does away with eARC support and is marginally thicker.

    Reviewers from t3 have found:
The 75Q950TS is the best 4K TV on the planet right at this moment. It makes 4K content look better than the majority of flagship 4K TVs can manage. Control is via a small, weighty remote control featuring only as many buttons as is essential. Samsung's Tizen-based operating system has had its background colour changed from white to pale blue for 2020.
    Pros
    • Superb 4K HDR performance
    • Impressive backlight
    Cons
    • No Dolby Vision or HDR10+

    Reviewers from techradar have found:
HDR-assisted images absolutely pop from the Q950TS. Full array backlighting is controllable down to a single individual zone. Even when the boldest, brightest colors are scorching from the screen, the darker areas of the scene remain convincingly dark. Samsung has moved to address what was generally characterized as the ‘woeful’ sound of its 2019 8K models, by deploying ‘Object Tracking Sound +'
    Pros
    • Gorgeous 8K picture quality
    • Impressive upscaling
    Cons
    • No Dolby Vision or HDR10+
    • No native 8K content

    Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Samsung QE75Q950TS is the company’s first 8K TV. It has a Quantum Dot-based colour system, which makes it punchier than last year's Q950Rs. Its innovative audio system works brilliantly. But the processing tends to leave vocal tracks sounding a little too dislocated from other mix elements.
    Pros
    • Impressive HDR performance
    • Impressive sound quality
    • Superb SDR
    Cons
    • Backlight flickering
    • No forward projection

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from whathifi have found:
The Q950TS boasts a 70W version of the OTS+ speaker system we first heard in the 4K Q95T. This involves eight speakers – four mid-range drivers, two woofers and two tweeters – arranged around the edges of the TV. The result is a far more open and spacious sound than produced by previous Samsung models. There isn't lots of bass, but it's authentic and nicely integrated. Adaptive Sound+ and Amplify are most worthy of your time.
    Pros
    • Sharp, detailed image
    • Impressive gaming performance
    • Excellent sound system
    Cons
    • Lacklustre local dimming
