Neofiliac creates the complete new-product experience for enthusiasts and consumers alike. Products are an integral part of the puzzle. Unlike a marketplace, we make it possible for you to list your innovative products on Neofiliac for free and sell them on your own platform, thus avoiding expensive commissions.
Curate Your Products
Upon login, you can access the "My Products" panel from the account menu at the top-right corner of each page. It can also be accessed via the Account page from the drop-down menu at the top-left corner of each page. This can be useful for when the top Account Menu is hidden in narrow browsers.
Once here, you can find the list of your unpublished drafts on top and that of your published products in reserve chronological order. You can create a product by clicking on the "Add a New Product" button. You can keep as many drafts as you like. Please note that only published products may be moderated.
Edit & Publish A Product
We encourage you to provide detailed information for all existing fields, though only those marked with an asterisk are required before you can publish a product. Some crucial features of products on Neofiliac that optimize discovery include Keywords. We strongly recommend that you add all that apply (a maximum of 8 are allowed for each product).
Product Features are critical for enthusiasts and consumers. You are strongly advised to add as much details here as possible. In the near future, we will introduce a product feature tool that allows users to find your products even faster.
Each individual feature is a combination of Feature Type, Feature Name, and Feature Value. Currently, we allow three feature types: Build, Function, and Production. You can freely name each feature and provide a value. Please note that only features complete with type, name, and value will be saved. Those with empty fields will be discarded once you exit the editor.
Some additional points are worth noting:
- You must upload at least one product photo and choose it as the cover before the product can be published. Up to twelve (12) product photos may be uploaded. You can reorder them via drag-and-drop, though for this to take effect you must click on the "Save Gallery Order" button. You can delete an image or images after selecting them, though you cannot delete the current cover image: it must be replaced before deletion is possible.
- Before publishing, you can preview the listing via the link in the breadcrumb section at the top-left corner of the editor page. This link is either the ID of the product (before a name has been saved) or its name.
- Product pages are cached. Each time you make an update, the cache is cleared. However, cards in the catalogues are only updated every ten (10) minutes, while search index is updated every twenty (20) minutes; old information will be displayed in the meantime. Two exceptions are the Related Products section on an article page and the Company Products section on a company page. Their cache may take longer (up to 1 hour) to refresh.
- Please note that only published products may be selected from the "Related Products" list in an article editor. Please keep this in mind in your workflow.
