Product Overview

MSI Optix MAG245R2 is an affordable 24-inch FHD monitor in MSI's 2022 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit IPS panel with 170Hz max refresh rate.

The included stand comes with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments that make for a more ergonomic viewing experience. Additionally, this monitor can get quite contrasty.

In terms of drawbacks, this monitor lacks HDR support and is not very bright. Further, the 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of color reproduction.
