Product Overview

Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG DN Art is a large-aperture wide-angle prime lens for Leica L-mount and Sony E-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Sigma in 2022, it has 17 elements in 14 groups.
For incremental weathers, Sigma is kind enough to include weather sealing. On the lens barrel, one can find a physical aperture ring. Those who wish to focus manually can have the best of both worlds (with the usual caveats).
Compared to the Sony 24mm GM, the Sigma is hardly larger or heavier, though it is more heavily corrected with more optical elements. It offers comparable performance for a lower price.
The bright maximum aperture for a wide-angle lens is appreciated for night and astro photography, though some may prefer the perspective of an ultra wide-angle lens for this. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization.
