Product Overview

Audi S5 Cabriolet B8 (Type F5) is the performance-variant of the F5 Audi A5 compact executive convertible in production from 2016. It is available with a bi-turbo V6 engine that displaced 3.0 liters.
Compared to the base A5 Cabriolet, the S5 has much better exterior styling, thanks to the Audi S body kit. Still, this generation seems to be a downgrade in this department. The bi-turbo engine is theoretically more powerful than the supercharged unit in the B8 S5, though the price is increased complexity.

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The multi-skin rag-top Audi is as quiet as a coupé when cruising and also feels comfortably rigid over bumps. Despite the avoirdupois, the S5 cabrio feels nimble when you lean on it. The steering is nicely weighted, but not exactly special in a class full of superb contenders.
Pros
  • Powerful engine
  • Comfortable ride
  • Decent handling
Cons
  • Not quite as fast as rivals
  • Not the most fun to drive
