Product Overview

Aston Martin DB11 Volante (chassis code AM5) is a luxury convertible in production from 2018. It is available with a single Mercedes-sourced M177 bi-turbo hot-V8 engine that displaced 4.0 liters.
Curiously, the Volante is not fitted with the V12 engine, even though a V12 would suit the character of the car more than any other engine configuration.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Aston Martin DB11 Volante comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear. Combined with RWD, this setup provides one of the best handling characteristics and tuning capabilities.

Reviewer score 76%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
Aston created a new architecture for the DB11, replacing the old aluminium VH platform that underpinned everything it made with a new aluminium one. The engine, Mercedes-AMG’s 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 with a 503bhp Aston tune, sits at the front as it does in the coupé, driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. With the roof up, and the divider out of the way, there's 206 litres of boot space, 20% more than in a DB9 Volante.

Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Lots of space in the boot
