Product Overview

Ford Mustang Convertible Mk6 (chassis code S550) facelift is a mid-size convertible in production from 2017. It is available with a range of inline-4 and V8 engines that displaced 2.3 to 4.9 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the facelifted Mk6 Mustang Convertible lost the V6 engine. It has some updates in technology and a new 10-speed automatic transmission is installed.
Utility-minded owners will have to keep in mind that the 323L (11cu-ft) cargo space may not be sufficient.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Ford Mustang Convertible 6 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

External Reviews

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Ford lacks the S5's traction and lights up its rear tyres with its 444bhp 5.0-litre V8. The Audi launches with ferocity, yet never once feels anything but stuck to the road surface. It's not the biggest hindrance to performance, but it's slower to shift and has too many ratios. With 10 gears available, you find yourself more often in the wrong ratio than the right one.
Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Not as fun to drive as the Ford
