Product Overview

Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet (chassis code AC7) is an affordable subcompact convertible crossover in production from 2019. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 1.5 liters.
Unfortunately, while the T-Roc is an ugly and useless vehicle, the T-Roc Cabriolet is even worse in both regards. One silver lining is that humanity is not so far beyond sanity that VW is not selling many units.
Utility-minded owners will have to keep in mind that the 284L (10cu-ft) cargo space may not be sufficient.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 52% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The T-Roc Cabriolet is a genuine four-seater, with enough space in the rear for two adults of average height. The roof folds easily and automatically in just 15sec and drops straight into a space above the boot. Accelerating from 0-62mph takes 12.3sec, it’s strictly a front-wheel drive car, despite the looks and the transversely mounted engine.
Pros
  • Stylish looks
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Not the most fun to drive

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 42% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The T-Roc Cabriolet is good enough to drive, but not much fun. It never settles down, even on roads that seem smooth in most cars. Over big bumps and drain covers it shudders and crashes. It doesn't settle significantly when you get up to higher speeds, either. There are too many hard plastics and cheap-looking materials here.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Good infotainment
  • Decent handling
Cons
  • Uncomfortable ride
  • Not much fun to drive
