Reviewer score 62%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
Five seats offer great outright space for taller adults, with headroom particularly limited in our test car thanks to its optional glass sunroof. The ride is comfy if a little noisy and liable to trip over sharp edges on the car’s standard 19in wheels. Handling is respectable, although a slightly vague, over-assisted steering rack denies the 5008 some of the planted, big-car stability you might want for it on A-roads and at higher speed.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Good fuel economy
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of practicality
  • Lane positioning assist could be better

autocar[2]

Reviewer score 56%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The 5008 was facelifted in 2020, bringing the styling into line with cars like the Peugeot 208 and 508. The engine isn’t the most dynamic, but it slots into the background softly and purrs away, only occasionally emitting a little bit of three-cylinder thrum if you really rev it. Despite the little capacity turbo triple engine, this 5008 emits 145g/km so it's in the 34% tax bracket. That would be a punchy monthly tax bill for a brown, MPV-cum-SUV family runaround.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Not the most dynamic engine
  • Expensive for what you get

autoexpress[3]

Reviewer score 72%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The 5008 has to take on some strong rivals in the seven-seat family SUV class. Chief among these is the Skoda Kodiaq, which has been joined by the similar SEAT Tarraco. Elsewhere, there's the Nissan X-Trail and Honda CR-V, although both these models have smaller rear seats than the 5008. The 5008 is a likeable car in petrol form, but it’s in mid-spec diesel guise that it makes the most sense.

Pros
  • Fantastic fuel economy
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment tech
Cons
  • No four-wheel drive option

autoexpress[4]

Reviewer score 68%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The big seven-seat SUV has been treated to a mid-life nip and tuck. The car gets the same family face as the 208 supermini and 508 saloon. The big news inside is the arrival of a new infotainment set-up. There's room in the front two rows for five adults, thanks to a flat floor.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lacklustre engine
