Product Overview

Porsche Panamera 971 Sport Turismo G2 facelift is a full-size station wagon in production from 2020. It is available with a range of V6 and V8 engines that displaced 2.9 to 4.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift, more emphasis has been placed on hybridization. Porsche also has to conform to more stringent emission standards. In other aspects, the car has remained roughly the same, with a small bump in power output included.
The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo 971 comes with double-wishbone at the front and multi-link at the rear. This is a bit unusual for AWD and less tunable than a multi-link front setup, but what you lose in performance you gain in durability.

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
As with all E-Hybrid models, the Turbo S springs noiselessly to life. In the all-electric E-Power and Hybrid modes, the car will always start off on battery power alone, using just the 134bhp motor. Performance is adequate rather than, ahem, electrifying, but there’s more than enough muscle to keep up with the flow of traffic.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Powerful engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Pricier than non-hybrid models

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
It’s a big, fast, sophisticated modern car, but still a natural-feeling one to drive. If you want to take it easy, there is all the ride refinement of a luxury GT to enjoy in the right driving mode. When you’ve got ground to make up quickly there is surprising precision, ever-ready poise and plenty of driver engagement to tap into. And what of that recalibrated V8? Well, it's certainly got potency to spare during most road driving.

Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons
  • More expensive than the Turbo S
  • Noisy V8

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The Panamera Turbo S Sport Turismo is one of those cars from this current breed of extra-desirable, extra-rapid, luxury-minded, family-friendly GTs that promises to do it all, but certainly only for a price. The new V8 is more interesting to listen to than the old one was, when working hard under load and when just pulling matter-of-factly through the gears under little strain. Unlike in the BMW M8 and Mercedes-AMG GT63 S, there’s no rear-wheel drive mode for the all-corner driveline.

Pros
  • Powerful V8
  • Lots of fun to drive
  • Good handling
Cons
  • No rear-wheel drive

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid has zero problem pretending it's much lighter than its 5,042-pound curb weight. My only real complaint comes from the brakes, which Porsche tweaked via software for 2021. There's tons of room to access the cargo areas on both variants, since the regular Panamera is technically a hatchback.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Fantastic infotainment system
  • Lots of cargo space
Cons
  • Not as practical as the regular Panamera
