Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
Fiat Tipo hatchback introduced in the UK in 2016 (it arrived first as a saloon in other markets in 2015) This is the second car to use the Tipo name. The original Tipo of 1988 was the successor to the Ritmo, and it even won the European Car Of The Year title in 1989. The entry-level 1.4 95hp Easy hatchback starts at around £15,000, while Higher spec Lounge trim is £2,000 more than Easy. Sporty S-Design is another £1,000 on top of that, with the top-of-the-range Sport versions costing just over £21,000.

Pros
  • Cheap to drive
  • Decent fuel economy
Cons
  • Dull interior
  • Lack of fun to drive

, Kia Cee'd and Hyundai i30 all readily available with wide model ranges and which put value first. The Peugeot 308 is another strong contender as there are plenty to choose from, you get plenty for your money and the cabin is impressive. The Mazda 3 also has a superb cabin and is excellent to drive.

Pros
  • Great value
  • Roomy cabin
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of standard safety kit
  • Not the most fun to drive

carmagazine[3]

Reviewer score 57%
Reviewers from carmagazine have found the following***:
The Tipo is inoffensively styled, something made more obvious by the ultra-chic looks of the smaller 500 family that we've come to know and love. It sits firmly within Fiat's pragmatic line-up alongside the Punto (remember those?) and Panda, so it's more about interior space and low running costs than eye-catching looks. Five engines are offered, along with three trims (four if you count the business-focused Elite) and a handful of options.

Pros
  • Sleek looks
  • Good range-topping engines
Cons
  • Lack of standard kit
