Product Overview

Sony FE PZ 16-35mm F4 G (SELP1635G) is a wide-angle zoom lens for Sony E-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Sony in 2022, it has 13 elements in 12 groups.
Photographers will be pleased by the fact that the lens is internally-zooming, meaning that the barrel does not extend when the focal length is changed. This helps balance and weather sealing; it is also great for long-term durability, as there is less chance for moisture and dirt to get in. Sony has endowed it with power zoom feature, which can be quite useful for videography, but which makes the lens less suitable for stills work (with the unnecessary weight and complexity). For incremental weathers, Sony is kind enough to include weather sealing. On the lens barrel, one can find a physical aperture ring. Those who wish to focus manually can have the best of both worlds (with the usual caveats).
As a wide-angle lens, this zoom can be prove quite versatile, even though it is not really bright. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization.
