Product Overview

Audi S5 (Type 8T) Cabriolet is a compact executive convertible in production from 2009 to 2016. It was powered by with a supercharged V6 engine (wrongly marketed as "TFSI") that displaced 3.0 liters paired to a 7-speed DCT. AWD is standard.
The same 3.0 TFSI supercharged engine can be found in many larger Audi vehicles, which makes the S5 Cabriolet less special. It also produces less power than the V8 found in the S4 Cabriolet that preceded this car. Nevertheless, it is a rather reliable engine that is much lighter than the V8 before.
Styling-wise, the pre-facelift S5 actually looked more imposing. The over-styled front-end is arguably a downgrade in the facelift.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi S5 Cabriolet comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.
