Product Overview

BMW 3 Series E93 Convertible is a compact executive convertible in production from 2007 to 2010, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 and inline-6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Compared to the E46 Convertible that preceded it, the E93 has a much more modern design with a new, complex hard convertible top. This three-piece hard top is the most complicated hard convertible top ever to be introduced in a passenger vehicle. Unfortunately, it has led to endless reliability issues.
At the same time, BMW introduced some troublesome engines and broadly used diesel in this convertible.
The handling of this car is arguably worse than before, largely due to increased weight.
