Product Overview
BMW Z4 E85 LCI is a subcompact convertible sports car in production from 2006 to 2008. It was available with a range of inline-4 and inline-6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift E85 Z4, the LCI brought an inline-4 model for Europe. Otherwise, the new N52 engine replaced the M54. This new engine is lighter, though it is less powerful at least during this period of production.
Two pieces of good news are that the ZF 6HP displaced the horrible 5HP automatic transmission, and that the problem with electric power steering was resolved. This makes the E85 LCI a great choice for an affordable roadster that can be quite easy to service.
