BMW M4 F83 Convertible is a compact executive convertible in production from 2014 to 2020. It was powered by two tunes of the S55 bi-turbocharged inline-6 engine that displaced 3.0 liters. Both manual transmission and DCT were available.
Compared to the E93 M3 Convertible that preceded it, the F83 M4 is even more beautiful. It is arguably one of the most successful designs in a hardtop convertible in the industry, certainly at this price point: The car looks gorgeous with the top up or down.
While the S55 engine is down two cylinders compared to the S65 in the E93, it is more robust and, thanks to turbocharging, more tunable.
In other aspects, the F83 is just an evolution of the E93. Notably, the Convertible is still much heavier than the Coupe, which is unsurprising for a hardtop convertible. Still, for the better looks and top-down option, it is well worth it for many.
