Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet A205 is a compact executive convertible in production from 2016 to 2018, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4, V6, and V8 engines that displaced 1.6 to 4.0 liters.
While Mercedes did not make a convertible based on the W204 C-Class, it introduced the A205 Cabriolet based on the W205 C-Class sedan two years into its production. As Mercedes fell into the "same sausage, different length" trap, it is hardly distinguishable from the A238 E-Class Cabriolet, though the fit and finish of the C is of a lower grade.
Still, what makes the A205 interesting is the possibility to get a C63 S AMG powered by the M177 hot-V bi-turbo V8. Mercedes even kept it RWD. Most other drivetrains are rather bland.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet (A205) comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners.
