Porsche 911 991.1 Cabriolet is a mid-size convertible sports car in production from 2011 to 2016, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of flat-6 engines that displaced 3.4 to 3.8 liters.
Compared to the 997.2 Cabriolet, the 991 generation introduced a new, larger body that still keeps the styling of the iconic original 911. The engines are all up-rated, though the transmissions largely remained unchanged from the 997.2. One major difference is the loss of manual Turbo.
For many, the 991.1 is the ultimate water-cooled 911, as the 991.2 became turbocharged. Still, this has little relevance to the 911 Turbo / Turbo S, which have always been turbocharged.
