Product Overview

Porsche Boxster 987.2 is the facelifted version of the 987 Boxster compact convertible sports car in production from 2009 to 2012. It was available with a range of flat-6 engines that displaced 2.9 to 3.4 liters.
Compared to the 987.1, the biggest difference is the introduction of 7-speed PDK (DCT) that replaced the ageing (and ailing) ZF 5HP automatic. The 6-speed manual transmission was kept.
At the same time, Porsche upgraded the engines. Now, the old reliability issues have been addressed. However, the Boxster still has MacPherson struts all around, which is not ideal for handling.
