Product Overview

Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet (Type A5) is a subcompact convertible in production from 2012 to 2018. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.2 to 2.0 liters.
Compared to the New Beetle that preceded it, the A5 Beetle Cabriolet has an improved styling. It is perhaps the only hatchback-based convertible that is not ugly to have come out of Europe in the last few decades.
Drivetrain-wise, the A5 Beetle Cabriolet is no different than the Mk6 VW Golf, though only a subset of engines were made available.
