Product Overview

Fiat 500C is an entry-level subcompact convertible in production from 2009 to 2015. It was available with a range of inline-2 and inline-4 engines that displaced 0.9 to 1.4 liters.
Based on the Fiat 500 hatchback, the 500C has a flimsy folding soft top. It largely keeps the cute exterior styling of the 500 but loses even more practicality. Its form factor means that one cannot get the full convertible experience, even though to own it one has to give up the hatchback.
The car has poor handling, too, owning to its lack of independent rear suspensions.
A plus is the small 9.2m (30.2ft) turning circle.

carmagazine[1]

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
Only 1500 are destined for the UK this year because of production constraints. From next year this should level out to annual sales of around 3000, around 15% of total 500 sales. Prices range from £11,300 for the 1.2 Pop to a rather steep £14,100 for the1.3 Lounge. That's a full £3000 premium over the fixed-head version.
Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent ride quality
Cons
  • Ride quality deteriorates
  • No roof-down reversing

carwow[2]

Reviewer score 50% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carwow have found:
The Fiat 500C is a cute city car that's cheap to run and comes with eye-catching retro looks. The 'C' stands for convertible, but it's better if you think of the 500C's folding soft top as a massive fabric sunroof that you can flip down automatically whenever the sun starts shining. It's similar to the Peugeot 108 TOP, Citroen C1 Airscape and Toyota Aygo X-Wave – all diminutive city cars with fabric roofs.
Pros
  • Cheap to run
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • No height adjustable driver’s seat
  • Not particularly comfortable on uneven roads
