Product Overview

DS 3 Cabrio is an affordable subcompact convertible in production from 2016 to 2018. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.2 to 1.6 liters.
Based on the DS 3 hardtop hatchback, the Cabrio has a folding soft top. However, unlike conventional convertibles, it has fixed the side panels, including the rear window frames. Hence, one cannot get the full convertible experience with the DS 3 Cabrio.
The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
DSign, mid-range DStyle and range-topping DSport. Even the basic DSign comes with daytime LED running lights, chrome mirrors and 16-inch wheels as standard. Range-topped DSport gets Alcantara trim, and dual-colour 17-inch alloy wheels.
Pros
  • Stylish looks
  • Decent fuel economy
Cons
  • Poor rear-seat roll
  • Poor roof quality

carmagazine[2]

Reviewer score 50% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
Citroen is going great guns with Frenchification aplenty on the spec list. Personalisation is a bit of a thing with the new DS, in an effort to keep up with the likes of Mini. Small DS motifs are all over the place - in the light clusters, on the wheels, everywhere. While the updated DS3 is a decent enough car to drive, and comfortable enough not to annoy, it's not class-leading in any respect.
Pros
  • Fantastic performance
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Not as fun to drive as rivals
  • Not as exciting as rivals

carwow[3]

Reviewer score 51% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carwow have found:
The DS 3 Cabrio is the convertible version of the smallest DS car. It was originally launched as a Citroen, but after a 2016 facelift the name was dropped. The dashboard makes for an eye-catching cockpit, but some of the buttons are shared with cheaper Citroens. The DS 3 feels best when paired with a petrol engine.
Pros
  • Frugal and fun to drive
  • Good range of engines
Cons
  • Fiddly infotainment system
  • Fidgety on rough roads
