Product Overview

BMW 6 Series E63 is an executive coupe in production from 2003 to 2007, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-6 and V8 engines that displaced 3.0 to 4.8 liters.
Based on the E60 5 Series, the E63 6 Series has a much more elegant and desirable exterior styling but the same underpinnings. While BMWs are hardly ever the most reliable vehicle on the road, this generation, with the last crop of naturally-aspirated petrol engines, is reasonable and easy to work on. Combined with the pleasing styling, it has become a great choice on the used car market.
BMW has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the BMW 6 Series (E63) uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
