Product Overview

BMW M4 F82 is the high-performance variant of the F32 BMW 4 Series compact executive coupe in production from 2014 to 2020. It was available with various tunes of the S55 bi-turbo inline-6 engine that displaced 3.0 liters. Both 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT were offered.
Compared to the E92 M3 that preceded it, the F82 M4 has a more aggressive yet still elegant styling that reminds us of tuned JDM coupes from the 1990s. It has a superb chassis setup, even though MacPherson strut is still used at the front.

cnet[1]

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder is massaged to push output to 454 horsepower. The M4 CS is said to hit 60 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds. The available carbon ceramic brakes provide massive stopping force -- as they should considering the $8,150 premium.
Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged inline six-cylinder
  • Sleek interior
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Uncomfortable to drive
  • Lacklustre gearbox

digitaltrends[2]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The M4 CS feels like the culmination of years spent tweaking and refining the M4 rather than a limited-production, track-focused brute. As with all M4s, the CS feels properly quick in a straight line, with meaty mid-ranged turbocharged pull. Our tester was outfitted with the M Carbon Ceramic Brake package, an $8150 option.
Pros
  • Powerful engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment
Cons
  • No manual gearbox
  • Lack of standard equipment
