BMW M3 E46 Coupe is the high-performance variant of the E46 3 Series compact executive coupe in production from 2000 to 2006. It was powered by two tunes of the S54 inline-6 engine that displaced 3.2 liters. Both manual and SMG automated manual transmissions were offered.
With a rather simple drivetrain, the E46 M3 was perhaps the last M car that is easy to DIY on. It has rather good reliability and has therefore become a favorite of certain BMW communities.
