Product Overview

Porsche Cayman 987c is a compact sports car in production from 2005 to 2009, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of flat-6 engines that displaced 2.7 to 3.4 liters.
Compared to the 997 Porsche 911, the 987c uses a mid-engine layout. This ostensibly improves handling, though it resulted in a long rear deck that is less appealing. The vehicle is also much less practical.
Porsche has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it. Utility-minded owners will have to keep in mind that the 260L (9cu-ft) cargo space may not be sufficient.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Porsche Cayman uses MacPherson front suspension.
