Product Overview

Volkswagen Passat CC is an affordable mid-size sedan (falsely marketed as coupe, owning to its hunchback styling) in production from 2008 to 2012, whereupon it received a facelift and became the Volkswagen CC. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 1.8 to 3.6 liters.
Essentially the hunchback variant of the B6/B7 Passat, the Passat CC has a more upscale positioning and some interior and exterior touches employed to justify this. Still, it is a basic vehicle with a range of decent drivetrain options. The VR6 petrol engine is particularly interesting. On the flip side, the DSG transmission was horrendous.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Volkswagen Passat CC uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
