Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class W166 crossover is the facelifted version of the W166 ML-Class mid-size crossover in production from 2015 to 2018. It was available with a range of inline-4, V6, and V8 engines that displaced 2.1 to 5.5 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the GLE became more bland. Mercedes also introduced the C292 "coupe" that is even more horrendous. New is also the fake AMG in the form of GLE 43 AMG / GLE 450 AMG.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Mercedes-Benz GLE is hardly the "offroader" that Mercedes-Benz would like you to think.
The official fuel economy rating of the PHEV is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality. Utility-minded owners will love the 2010L (71cu-ft) cargo space.
