Product Overview

Chevrolet Captiva is a compact crossover in production from 2006 to 2018. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.2 liters. Developed by Daewoo, which became GM Korea, the Chevrolet Captiva was also sold as Holden Captiva and Daewoo Winstorm.
Like most crossovers, the Captiva has a weird, ugly exterior styling. The extra black plastic further cheapened its look.
Owners may find that at speed the vehicle consumes a lot more than the numbers indicate, thanks to a disappointing 0.38 coefficient of drag to show for it.

Reviewer score 56% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The Captiva is the first all-new model since GM bought up Daewoo and relaunched it under the Chevrolet brand. The chassis will form the basis of the new Vauxhall Antara due in the UK in mid-2006. It's comfortable, everything works and the spec is generous, given the bargain price. The only glitch is the wait - the new car won't arrive here until the spring.
Pros
  • Comfortable inside
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent on-road dynamics
Cons
  • Slow-witted steering
  • Tauter than Vauxhall
