Product Overview

BMW X5 E53 LCI is a mid-size crossover in production from 2003 to 2006. It was available with a range of inline-6 and V8 engines that displaced 3.0 to 4.8 liters.
Compared to the pre-LCI model, the LCI updated the transmission to a 6-speed unit that is more reliable. BMW also uprated the I6 engines and introduced its last naturally-aspirated V8 engine. Unfortunately, the N62 wasn't really reliable, though it is better than the N63 that followed.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the BMW X5 is hardly the "offroader" that BMW would like you to think.
