Product Overview

Lexus GX470 (chassis code J120) is a mid-size SUV in production from 2002 to 2009. It was available with different tunes of the 2UZ-FE naturally-aspirated V8 engine that displaced 4.7 liters. The only transmission is the exceptional Aisin A750F 5-speed automatic.
Essentially a rebadged Toyota 4Runner / Land Cruiser Prado, the GX470 is the smaller brother to the LX470. It was in production alongside with the latter after the LX received its first upgrade to 5-speed. For many offroad enthusiasts, the vehicle's smaller dimensions are a plus.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, will appreciate the extraordinary approach and departure angles that the chassis offers.
Owners may find that at speed the vehicle consumes a lot more than the numbers indicate, thanks to a disappointing 0.38 coefficient of drag to show for it. Utility-minded owners will love the 2513L (89cu-ft) cargo space.
