Product Overview

Infiniti QX80 (chassis code Z62) is a full-size luxury SUV in production from 2010 to 2017, whereupon it received a second facelift. It was available with a single naturally-aspirated VK56VD V8 engine that displaced 5.6 liters.
Launched as the QX56 II, the vehicle became QX80 after the first facelift, which included hardly any change besides the model code. Compared to the original QX56, the new engine uses direct injection and variable valve timing. A new 7-speed automatic transmission also replaced the old 5-speed unit.
The QX80 is both a highly comfortable SUV and a decent offroader, though for the purpose of offroading the Nissan Patrol on which it is based is likely a superior option.
With a 14.5L/100km (16.2mpg) fuel "dis-economy", owners have to be prepared to pay for their "smiles-per-mile". Utility-minded owners will love the 2693L (95cu-ft) cargo space.

Reviewer score 57% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
Comfort is at the forefront of the QX80 driving experience, and the result is rewarding. Infiniti needs to put its two-screen infotainment setup onto a boat and ship it off to Valhalla. The Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class and BMW X7 are far more luxurious.
Pros
  • Powerful V8 engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard safety tech
Cons
  • Lackluster infotainment
  • Expensive compared to rivals
