Product Overview

Peugeot 5008 II (chassis code T87) is a mid-size crossover in production from 2016 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.2 to 2.0 liters.
Compared to the smaller 3008 II, the 5008 offers more interior space and a plusher finish. However, Peugeot used the same engines and suspension setup. Hence, it is reasonable to question the value proposition.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 49% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
While the Skoda was largely trouble-free, I did have an issue with the battery that left me stranded more than once. As you might hope in a large SUV, the cabin is spacious and well laid out. The deliberately small steering wheel takes some getting used to but, thanks to my height, doesn’t obscure the dash.
Pros
  • Decent fuel economy
  • Decent cabin ambience
Cons
  • Lack of refinement
  • Cramped steering wheel

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The 5008 has an impressive 952-litre boot with the third row of seats lowered. If you drop the second row it opens a vast 2,150- litre load area. The sunshades on the rear windows helped to dim down the light in the back. The infotainment system's volume controls allow for the front and rear balance to be adjusted.
Pros
  • Fantastic interior design
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Lots of space for kids
Cons
  • Fiddly to turn off the sunroof
