Product Overview

SEAT Arona is an entry-level subcompact crossover in production from 2017 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 1.6 liters.
Essentially a jacked-up SEAT Ibiza, the Arona is the smaller alternative to the Ateca. It essentially uses the cheapest parts from VW's parts bin and is half-heartedly put together.

Reviewer score 68% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Arona is faster, sweeter to drive, more efficient, more practical and rides better than its rivals. Despite its more compact footprint compared with the Fiat, the SEAT has a bigger boot, at 400 litres. You get six airbags and autonomous braking as standard, which is a solid level of kit because its rivals don't feature the latter. Mazda has updated the CX3 this year and it's still a fine compact crossover.
Pros
  • Punchy engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment
Cons
  • Cheap to buy
  • Poor efficiency
