Product Overview

Skoda Karoq (chassis code NU7) is a compact crossover in production from 2017 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 2.0 liters.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Skoda Karoq uses semi-independent rear suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance. Obviously, the vehicle is not designed for off-roading, despite the black plastic.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 38% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The standard 8.0in infotainment set-up looks great and is easy to navigate, particularly so since it retains physical knobs for volume and navigation map scale. Perceived quality is mostly good, although there are some harder mouldings on the car’s lower transmission tunnel and door consoles that aren’t as pleasant on the eye or to touch as they might be. With just under 180mm of ground clearance, the Karoq Scout is unlikely to rival a true off-roader in the mud-plugging stakes.
Pros
  • Decent off-road performance
  • Decent standard infotainment
Cons
  • Lack of practicality
  • No mechanical modifications

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
We've done just over 1,600 miles in the Karoq so far and it's been hovering around the 37mpg mark. It's a £25,000 car as standard with the lively 1.5-litre TSI 150 petrol engine. With 148bhp, you're looking at a 0-62mph time of 8.4 seconds and a 126mph top speed.
Pros
  • Powerful petrol engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Pricey for what you get

carmagazine[3]

Reviewer score 80% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The Karoq Velo is a two-wheel drive 1.6-litre TDI with the automatic DSG gearbox. It's not a car you can actually buy, rather another way of stamping the Czech manufacturer's badge all over the sport of cycling. Other than the pressure washer the gadget that proved the most useful was the middle-rear seat mounted fridge.
Pros
  • Very comfortable to drive
  • Great value for money
  • Easy to use fridge
Cons
  • Not available as a complete package
