Product Overview

Volvo XC90 is a mid-size crossover in production from 2002 to 2006, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-5, inline-6, and V8 engines that displaced 2.4 to 4.4 liters.
With an engine lineup similar to that found in the S80 of the era, the XC90 was Volvo's flagship. It was one of the more reliable crossovers from Europe.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Volvo XC90 is hardly the "offroader" that Volvo would like you to think. Utility-minded owners will love the 2404L (85cu-ft) cargo space, though some smaller vehicles can offer the same.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Volvo XC90 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
